Chaos in the kitchen

Books

I have quite a collection of cookbooks. Not that my collection is huge or awe inspiring – but compared to my friends, I’m way ahead.

The cookbooks I wouldn’t live without:

  • Jamie Oliver’s cookbooks are inspiring and I’m especially fond of his pasta and risotto recipes. But his moralizing becomes a bit too much, I find.
  • Marcus Grigo – the danish/german king of desserts. He’s as posh as it gets, yet still down to earth. And his recipes are dazzeling.
  • Tana Ramsay – I’m very intigued by her family cookbooks. Her ideas and her principles are charming, and I’ve been very inspired by them. Her views on how to deal with the tricky combination of food and raising children are very close to my own.
  • Wagamama’ Cookbook – It’s inspiring and with lovely pictures. And without it I’d never have entered intop the world of japanese and chinese cooking.
  • 100 great curries of India – Absolutely lovely. But I have to cook curries more often!

  1. Is the Wagamama Cookbook from the restaurant of the same name?

  2. Yes it is.
Theres also a second cookbook, which however only has noodle recipes. And since noodles are only occasionally my thing, I haven’t bought it.

I can highly recommend it, and my experience is that the food turns out better than at the restaurants I’ve tried.
    Cheers,
